PRESS RELEASE

Maine Pointe LLC, an operations management and implementation firm that is a leader in sustainable global supply chain transformation, has appointed Steven Koinis as Executive Vice President, Private Equity.

A business innovator with more than twenty-five years of global executive management experience in the strategic and functional aspects of private equity, Koinis assumes leadership of one of Maine Pointe’s most successful practices – one that has been serving the value creation requirements of some of the top private equity firms and an array of their portfolio companies.

Among his many career accomplishments, Koinis has structured transactions totaling several billion dollars – with a cumulative contribution to the increase in value of various enterprises of nearly $1 billion from funds raised in public and private equity capital markets, involving both institutional and individual investors.

His leadership experience on both the buy and sell side offers Maine Pointe additional perspective on international private equity as well as real estate, hospitality, investment banking and underperforming assets. He has restructured major investments in Europe, North America, the Middle East and North Africa.

Koinis has presided over the growth of companies from the launch phase to more than 1,000 employees, and with sales revenue ranging from $5-$300 million and enterprise value from $10 million to $1 billion. As an asset manager, he has created investment strategies for a broad mix of asset classes along with developing management and financial plans for institutional and ultra high-net-worth shareholders. He holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
Enhancing Value Creation and Improving Exit Quality Across the Portfolio
Maine Pointe’s Private Equity Practice utilizes its methodologies, processes, and collaborative knowledge transfer to engage with the management teams of P-E firms and their portfolio companies in the implementation of game-changing solutions across the value chain.
Maine Pointe often works with P-E firms on a continuum throughout the ownership period – especially during the initial 100-180 day plan and up to 6-9 months prior to exit. We accelerate value creation by moving from the traditional financial engineering emphasis to an operations re-engineering approach that breaks through the revenue barriers to growth and reduces the historic timeframe to improved multiples.
We seize opportunities through Operations Excellence, Strategic Procurement, Logistics, and Leader and Organizational Improvement, integrated with our Sustainability capabilities, to impact the value extracted – driving significant cash, profitability, and EBITDA enhancements to the bottom line. Our typical P-E engagement results in an average ROI of between 6:1 to 12:1, supported by a 2:1 guarantee based on annualized savings.
