Mark Graf Joins Aquiline Capital

Mark Graf, former chief financial officer of Fifth-Third Bank, has joined Aquiline Capital Partners as an investment professional. He most recently was a partner with Barrett Ellman Stoddard Capital Partners, with a focus on the financial services sector.

Aquiline Capital Partners LLC (“Aquiline”), a New York-based private equity firm investing in financial services, today announced that R. Mark Graf has joined the firm as an investment professional. Mr. Graf has over 20 years of banking experience in commercial lending, leveraged finance, mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance and development.

Mr. Graf joins Aquiline from Barrett Ellman Stoddard Capital Partners where he was a partner specializing in the financial services sector. Previously, Mr. Graf was the chief financial officer of Cincinnati-based Fifth Third Bank where he was a member of the executive committee and responsible for mergers and acquisitions activity, strategic planning, balance sheet management/funding and financial reporting. Earlier in his career, Mr. Graf held various executive positions at Amsouth Bancorporation (now Regions Financial), M&T Bank and Morgan Guaranty.

Mr. Graf is a graduate of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
