Northleaf Capital Partners, a C$4.5 billion private equity and real assets funds-of-funds manager and advisor based in Toronto, has hired Matthieu Ducharme as vice president with a particular focus on the origination and evaluation of private equity secondary investments. Durcharme will operate from Northleaf’s London office. Northleaf is currently raising capital for Northleaf Secondary Partners, a specialist private equity secondary fund that provides focused exposure to secondary transactions globally.
Matthieu Ducharme joins Northleaf Capital Partners’ London office
January 22, 2013 – Northleaf Capital Partners, Canada’s largest independent global private markets fund manager and advisor, is pleased to announce the expansion of its private equity secondaries team with the addition of Matthieu Ducharme as Vice President in its London, UK office. Matthieu will participate in all aspects of Northleaf’s private markets investment activities, with a particular focus on the origination and evaluation of private equity secondary investments.
Matthieu brings eight years of experience in private equity, including six years of experience in the secondaries market. Prior to joining Northleaf, Matthieu was a partner at PEFOX, a London-based private equity secondaries and derivatives broker. Previously, Matthieu worked with Pantheon Ventures’ secondaries team in London where he was responsible for the sourcing, evaluation and negotiation of portfolio, fund and direct secondary transactions. Matthieu began his career with an expansion capital fund sponsored by Société Générale Asset Management in Paris.
Northleaf is raising capital for Northleaf Secondary Partners (”NSP”), a specialist private equity secondary fund that provides focused exposure to secondary transactions globally. Leveraging Northleaf’s proven secondary investment strategy and led by an experienced team, NSP focuses on smaller, negotiated acquisitions of mature fund and portfolio company interests, taking an opportunistic approach in situations where Northleaf has a competitive advantage.
