Medina Capital closes $182 mln for tech fund

Medina Capital has raised $182 million for its tech-focused fund. The pool will focus on “innovative” companies with established products and services.


MIAMI, Dec. 10, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — Medina Capital, a private equity firm focused on high-growth technology companies in sectors such as cybersecurity, big data, mobility and cloud-based technologies, today announced the closing of the firm’s Fund with $182 million of aggregate committed capital.

Medina Capital will use the Fund to continue its proven strategy of investing in innovative companies with established products and services that can benefit from the firm’s strategic guidance to accelerate growth. To date, Medina Capital has made six investments in the areas of cybersecurity and big data.
