MHT Boosts Wenick, Burgett

Eric Wenick, among the founding bloc of MHT Partners team members, has been promoted to managing director of its Dallas office. He joined MHT in 2001. Wenich was also a founding member of Serra Partners, an advisory firm based in California, and worked at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette. MHT also promoted Tom Burgett to director of its Dallas office. Prior to joining MHT, he worked with Lincoln International.

Eric Wenick is focused on strategic advisory and deal execution for technology-enabled service, supply chain services, environmental services and emerging technology companies. He joined MHT Partners in 2001 and was a founding member of the firm. His efforts have included assignments for: Contract Datascan, Efficient Attic Systems, Authentix, eInstruction, Study Island, xpressdocs, Trinity Consultants, Chemical Information Services and SoftBrands. Prior to joining MHT Partners, Eric was an investment banker at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette where he served clients in the renewable energy, regulated utilities and independent power industries. He also was a founding partner of Serra Partners, a strategic advisory firm based in Menlo Park, CA, that served venture-backed technology companies primarily in the internet infrastructure and enterprise software sectors.
Eric has an MBA from Stanford Business School and graduated from Yale University with a BA in Economics and Molecular Biophysics & Biochemistry. He is a founding member of the Dallas/Ft. Worth area board of Positive Coaching Alliance, a national non-profit organization that trains youth and high school coaches to teach life lessons and cultivate student athletes who strive to improve themselves and their teammates on and off the field of play.

Tom Burgett was promoted to Director, Dallas office.
Tom Burgett is focused on providing advisory and transaction execution services to technology-enabled education, healthcare services and software or software-as-a-service (SaaS) companies. With MHT, his efforts have included assignments for Edline, Archipelago Learning (NASDAQ: ARCL), Central Power Products (Shuttlewagon), Heritage Partners/Frozsun Holdings, Providence Equity Partners/Study Island and Charlesbank Capital Partners/Zenith Products, among others. Prior to joining MHT Partners, he was with Lincoln International LLC, a middle market investment banking firm based in Chicago, IL. Tom was also an investment banker at Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc. where he developed expertise in public and private corporate finance, M&A and financial advisory. His past experience includes assignments in the telecommunications, business services and consumer goods industries.
Tom holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and graduated from Southern Methodist University, summa cum laude, with a BBA in Finance and Organizational Behavior and Business Policy. He currently serves as a member of the EdNet 2011 ( Advisory Board and as a member of the Dallas/Ft. Worth ACG Chapter’s Capital Connection and ACG Cup committees.
