Moelis Capital Partners said Thursday that it has appointed Lex Leeming as head of business development based in New York. Leeming will source and qualify public and proprietary investments. Previously, Leeming was a principal with Park Avenue Equity Partners.
Moelis Capital Partners (MCP), the private equity business of Moelis & Company, today announced the appointment of Lex Leeming as Head of Business Development based in New York. In this role, he will source and qualify public and proprietary investments.
MCP, a middle market private equity firm founded in 2007, manages more than $700 million of committed private equity capital and a $1.2 billion private equity co-investment program. MCP targets equity investments between $25 and $100 million in leading middle market companies.
Ted Yun, a Managing Partner of MCP, said, “Lex brings more than 10 years of buyout experience in investing, sourcing and capital raising to this role as well as having worked on numerous middle market deals across a variety of industries. Before joining MCP, Mr. Leeming was a Principal with Park Avenue Equity Partners, a middle market buyout fund. Prior to joining Park Avenue, Mr. Leeming worked in a strategy and marketing capacity at American Express and began his career as an analyst at Global Emerging Markets.
