Monitor Clipper Partners has made four promotions: Tom Perkins to operating partner, Samer Ezzeddine and David Sheffer to vice president and Jennifer DuBois to fund accounting manager.
Monitor Clipper Partners LLC, a Cambridge, MA-based private equity firm, today announced that Tom Perkins has been promoted to Operating Partner, Samer Ezzeddine and David Sheffer have been promoted to Vice President, and Jennifer DuBois has been promoted to Fund Accounting Manager.
Mr. Perkins joined MCP in 1998 and is responsible for optimizing the performance of MCP’s portfolio companies. Prior to joining MCP, Mr. Perkins was a Partner at the Monitor Group and a leader of Monitor’s manufacturing and private equity practice groups. Mr. Perkins holds undergraduate degrees from Williams College, summa cum laude, and Cambridge University, first class honours, and graduate manufacturing engineering and MBA degrees from Stanford University, where he was named an Arjay Miller Scholar.
Mr. Ezzeddine joined MCP in 2005 and has been involved with Monitor Clipper’s investments in Access Communications, Castor & Pollux, Earth Fare, Market Force Information, Metro International, and Earth Color. Prior to joining MCP, he was a consultant at the Monitor Group working primarily on MCP-related projects. Mr. Ezzeddine received a B.A., summa cum laude, in economics and international relations from Tufts University and was subsequently awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to conduct research in Hong Kong.
Mr. Sheffer joined MCP in 2006 and has been involved with Monitor Clipper’s investments in Accellos, American Biomass Corporation, Market Track, and Technology Partners International. Prior to joining MCP, Mr. Sheffer was an Associate with Advent International, a Boston-based private equity fund. Previously, he was with McColl Partners in the Mergers and Acquisitions Group. Mr. Sheffer graduated with distinction from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he received a B.S. in business administration.
Ms. DuBois joined MCP in 2004 and is responsible for managing the fund accounting and financial reporting of the Investment Partnerships, reviewing limited partner and general partner allocations, and monitoring the external audit process. Prior to joining MCP, she was employed by Beverly National Bank in Beverly, MA for six years and gained exposure to the Operations, Trust, and Finance Departments.
