May 19, 2021 – Mozaic Capital Advisors, one of the industry’s leading secondary advisory firms, is pleased to announce that Myra Choo has joined the firm as a Director, effective May 6, 2021. Myra brings more than 10 years of experience across private equity investing, fundraising and investor relations. Myra will contribute her deal execution and marketing expertise to all aspects of the firm’s mandates.
Most recently, Myra led the San Francisco office of MVision Private Equity Advisers, responsible for West Coast investor relations. In that role, she advised on over $2.5 billion of fundraisings. Prior to MVision, Myra served as an investor relations professional at Thomas H. Lee Partners, where she focused on the firm’s Asia-based investor relationships. Myra began her private equity career at HarbourVest Partners, working with Mozaic Co-founder Christine Patrinos as an investment professional in the primary partnership group.
“We are delighted to welcome Myra to Mozaic,” said Christine Patrinos and Solomon Owayda, Co-founders, Mozaic Capital Advisors. “From valuation to structuring and execution, Mozaic provides a full suite of secondary-focused services for General Partners and Limited Partners. With her wealth of private markets experience, we are confident Myra will prove to be a valuable member of the Mozaic Capital team.”
Mozaic Capital is a leading secondary advisory firm specializing in Limited Partner sales and General Partner-led transactions. In 2020, Mozaic successfully closed on several sell-side mandates at prices that exceeded clients’ expectations and the firm continues to see increased momentum in 2021 as secondary buyers begin deploying a backlog of dry powder. They expect demand for secondaries to remain robust, with valuations in both the public and private markets benefiting from increased market activity and buyer confidence.
The secondary market has long been an important portfolio management tool for Limited Partners to rebalance portfolios, manage older funds and achieve strategic objectives. General Partners are also increasingly looking to the secondary market to proactively optimize their investor base and portfolios. Mozaic’s exclusive focus on secondaries, coupled with their deep relationships and investor-minded approach, enables the firm to deliver tailored solutions for its Limited Partner and General Partner clients.
