Nanosolar Inc., a Palo Alto, Calif.-based provider of lower-cost solar energy panels, has received a $20 million grant from the U.S. Department of Energy. Mohr, Davidow Ventures has raised $580 million for its ninth fund, according to a regulatory filing. It is unclear whether or not this represents a final close, as Private Equity Insider previously had reported that the firm was seeking between $500 million and $600 million.
