GlycoVaxyn, a Swiss developer of innovative conjugated vaccines, has raised a $9.3 million in a Series A financing. Existing investors Sofinnova Partners and Index Ventures both significantly increased their equal investment in GlycoVaxyn, after having seeded the company in July 2006. Galen Partners, a Stamford, Conn.-based health care investor, announced that Siemens Venture Capital GmbH has invested in its fifth fund, Galen Partners V.  The fund, which closed last month, has now raised $250 million in partner commitments.
