Clayton Dubilier & Rice has put UK food distributor Brakes PLC on the block for around $1.2 billion, according to Dow Jones. The auction will be run by JPMorgan and Deutsche Bank.

Amimon Inc., a Santa Clara, Calif.-based fabless semiconductor company focused on wireless uncompressed high-def video, has raised an undisclosed amount of strategic funding from Motorola Ventures.
