North Bridge, a provider of growth financing for early-stage entrepreneurs, said Friday that it has made several staffing changes. The company has promoted Matt Blodgett to partner and Holly Maloney to principal. Also, Kaitie Donovan has rejoined the firm as a principal. Prior to working at North Bridge, Blodgett was a vice president at Alta Communications while Maloney was an associate at America’s Growth Capital. Donovan worked as an associate at North Bridge Growth Equity before attending and receiving an MBA from Dartmouth’s Tuck Business School.

In addition, North Bridge is announcing the promotion of Holly Maloney to Principal and the return of Kaitie Donovan as Principal to the Growth Equity team. These moves and promotions strengthen its investment team and highlight the firm’s continued momentum and successful strategy.
Since joining the firm in 2007, Matt has developed investment partnerships with Aeropost, BrightTALK, Leapfrog Online and Spil Games and also played an instrumental role in the firm’s investment in Proto Labs (NYSE: PRLB). In March, Matt was elected to Proto Labs’ Board of Directors. As Partner, Matt will continue to create investment partnerships with entrepreneurs building exceptional technology and technology-enabled growth companies.

Prior to joining North Bridge, Matt was a Vice President at Alta Communications, a communications and media-focused private equity firm where he invested growth equity and completed management-led buyouts in companies in the digital media and information technology industries. He was also an investment banker with Bear Stearns in New York, advising domestic and international media and technology corporate clients on complex mergers, joint ventures, equity offerings and debt financings. Matt is a graduate of Yale University, earning a BA in Economics and a BA in Political Science while playing center on the varsity football team.
North Bridge is also promoting Holly Maloney to Principal and announces the return of Kaitie Donovan as Principal — joining the Growth Equity team in the Waltham office.
Before joining North Bridge, Holly was an Associate at America’s Growth Capital where she provided mergers & acquisitions and public and private company financing advisory services to a range of technology and technology-enabled services companies. Holly earned an AB in Economics and captained the women’s varsity soccer team at Bowdoin College.
Kaitie rejoins North Bridge after completing her MBA from Dartmouth’s Tuck Business School. Prior to business school, Kaitie worked as an Associate at North Bridge Growth Equity from 2009-2011, and before that was an Analyst at William Blair & Co. Kaitie earned a BA in Economics and a BA in Psychology from Hamilton College where she captained the women’s tennis team.
Lastly, North Bridge has hired two new Associates to support the growing team. Patrick Devine joins North Bridge from America’s Growth Capital where he advised clients on mergers and acquisitions and debt and equity private placements across the information technology and business services sectors. Patrick graduated from Tufts University with a BA in Economics and Classics, cum laude, where he was a four-year member of the varsity lacrosse team, 2010 National Champions. Steve Isom joins North Bridge after serving as an Analyst at Jefferies LLC, where he was involved in mergers and acquisitions and capital raising advisory in the technology sector. Prior to Jefferies, he was an Analyst at TD Securities. Steve has a BS from Boston College.
