Northleaf Capital hires Thomas Petty as VP, private equity

Northleaf Capital Partners has hired Thomas Petty as a vice president, private equity.

Based in the firm’s New York office, Petty will participate in the origination, evaluation and monitoring of private equity investments.

He joins Northleaf from Adams Street Partners, where he most recently served as a vice president, private credit. Previously, Petty was an investment banking associate at Morgan Stanley.

Toronto-based Northleaf is a global private equity, private credit and infrastructure manager, overseeing more than $12 billion in capital commitments.

Thomas Petty joins Northleaf as a Vice President, Private Equity

Northleaf Capital Partners is pleased to announce that Thomas Petty has joined our firm as a Vice President, Private Equity, based in our New York office. Thomas will participate in the origination, evaluation and monitoring of Northleaf’s private equity investments.

Prior to joining Northleaf, Thomas was a Vice President at Adams Street Partners in New York, where he was involved in the evaluation and execution of private credit investments across capital structures and industries. Previously, Thomas was an Associate at Morgan Stanley in the Financial Sponsors Group. Thomas began his career at IBM in Strategic Outsourcing as a client solutions consultant. Thomas received a Bachelor of Arts (Economics) from Middlebury College and a Master of Business Administration from New York University’s Stern School of Business.
