Mimi Strouse has left Warburg Pincus, where she had been a New York-based managing director since 2002.
I called up her (old) office earlier today, and was told that she had left the firm around a month ago. Nothing too unusual there, as private equity pros move around a bit. But it was a bit odd that there was no forwarding information, and that emails to her Warburg Pincus account bounce back with an impersonal: “The email address you reached is no longer operational at Warburg Pincus LLC.”
I’ve contacted a firm spokesperson, but have not yet heard back.
Strous joined Warburg Pincus from General Atlantic, and was part of the technology, media and telecom group. Her particular focus was on tech-enabled services and financial technology, and most recently served on the boards of Bridgepoint Education, Fortent and Yodlee (according to an official bio which is no longer available on the Warburg Pincus site).
So while we wonder where Mimi is, I’ll leave you with this:[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/w/?v= LCayacFcCX4]
