ACG New York, a trade group representing middle market deal professionals, announced several new officers and directors. Among these, Martin Okner was named president for the 2012-13 year. Okner is an SHM & Co. managing director.

ACG New York Inc., the premier association in New York for middle-market dealmaking professionals, announced today the selection of new officers and directors to serve on the organization’s board of directors effective as of Sept. 1, 2012.
Martin L. (Marty) Okner, managing director at SHM & Co., Corporate Navigators™, will serve as the 2012-13 president. Mr. Okner succeeds Stephen V. (Steve) Prostor, director, senior credit officer and head CPB loan syndications at Citi Private Bank, who will become ACG New York’s chairman.
“I would like to thank Steve for his great leadership,” said Mr. Okner. “The association has realized many great milestones under Steve’s direction, and we have a strong strategic framework that will enable many more great accomplishments in the future. We also have an active board dedicated to the long-term success and growth of our organization. It is this combination that creates endless possibilities for us to achieve together.”

Applicants were reviewed by the Nominating Committee and elected by the ACG New York board of directors. ACG New York members will again have the opportunity to apply for Board service in January 2013. The ACG New York Board of Directors serves without compensation and is responsible for the overall governance and oversight of ACG New York.
