Pamplona Capital Management Names New Operating Partner

Investment firm Pamplona Capital Management has named Rob Mionis operating partner. He will also join the board of directors of Coinmach, which was recently acquired by Pamplona. Prior to joining Pamplona, Mionis was the president and CEO of StandardAero.

NEW YORK/LONDON – August, 2013 — Rob Mionis, former President and CEO of StandardAero, has been appointed Operating Partner for Pamplona Capital Management, a specialist investment management company. Established in 2005, Pamplona provides an alternative investment platform across private equity, fund of hedge funds and single manager hedge fund investments. Pamplona manages over $6 billion in assets for a variety of clients including public pension funds, international wealth managers, multinational corporations, family offices and funds of hedge funds. Pamplona has primary offices in London, New York and Malta.
In this new position, Rob will both drive new investment opportunities with a focus on the Industrials and Aerospace sectors, and support some of Pamplona’s portfolio companies. Rob will also immediately join the board of directors of Coinmach, Pamplona’s most recently acquired business.

Rob Mionis has 28 years of business and operating experience most recently serving as President and CEO of StandardAero; a global company of approximately 4,000 employees worldwide and $1.7 billion in annual revenue. Prior to joining StandardAero, Mionis worked was Vice President of Integrated Supply Chain for Honeywell’s $12 billion Aerospace business headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona. Prior to Honeywell, Mionis was Senior Vice President and General Manager for Global Operations and Service Solutions for Axcelis Technologies. He began his career with General Electric in the Manufacturing Management Program, holding positions of progressive responsibility over nine years at several GE businesses. Mionis holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. Mionis is a member of the Board of Directors for Innovative Solutions and Support (NASDAQ: ISSC).
