Parish Capital Holds First Closes on Two Funds

Parish Capital has held first closes on two new funds-of-funds: Parish Capital III, a North American fund with a $450 million target; and Parish Europe II, a Europe-focused fund with a €250 million target. The firm also promoted Bernard De Backer to partner, Tracy Harris to managing director and Scott Penwell to director.

On December 15, 2009, Parish Capital held first closings for Parish Capital III, the firm’s third North American-focused fund with a $450 million target, and Parish Europe II, its second European-focused fund with a EUR250 million target. The closes included a mix of current and new limited partners.

Parish Capital is also pleased to announce several recent promotions.  Bernard De Backer, based in London, was promoted to Partner; Tracy Harris, based in Chapel Hill, was promoted to Managing Director; and Scott Penwell, based in London, was promoted to Director.

Parish Capital is led by David Jeffrey, James Mason, Wendell McCain, and Charles Merritt. Parish Capital specializes in making private equity investments with Experienced, Small and Niche-focused (“ESN”) managers of early stage venture/growth capital funds and small and middle-market buyout funds as well as opportunistic investments including co-investments in companies and the purchase of secondary interests.
