AxelaCare Health Solutions, a portfolio company of Harvest Partners, has named Daniel C. Buning as chief operating officer. Previously, Buning held a leadership position at Conifer Health Solutions. Based in Lenexa, Kansas, AxelaCare is a home intravenous therapy provider.
LENEXA, Kan., Dec. 16, 2014 – AxelaCare, a leading U.S. home intravenous therapy provider, announced today that Daniel C. Buning was appointed to serve as the company’s chief operating officer.
A 20-year U.S. Army officer and West Point graduate, Buning most recently was the enterprise client delivery leader at Texas-based Conifer Health Solutions, where he led a team of 60 executives who worked with more than 200 acute hospitals in planning and managing their operations. Prior to Conifer, Buning was senior vice president, operations for Chicago-based Accretive Health, which develops programs to improve healthcare provider revenue cycle outcomes. He led the development of several domestic and offshore shared-service operations for 26 client hospitals, covering patient registrations, insurance eligibility and pre-authorizations.
