PE-backed Davey Coach Sales beefs up staff with new hire

Davey Coach Sales, which is backed by Progress Equity Partners, has hired Marcus Watts as national manager/retail sales trainer. Davey Coach Sales is a provider of new and used mid-sized buses and shuttles in North America.



Davey Coach Sales has hired industry veteran Marcus Watts, as National Account Manager/Retail Sales Trainer. He will report to Josh Davey, Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Davey Coach Sales.

Watts brings 37 years of bus sales and service experience to Davey Coach. Before his impressive career began, he attended Arizona State University on a full-ride football scholarship. Following a brief stint in the National Football League, he jumped into the mid-sized bus industry, opening the first sales and service satellite office in the San Francisco Bay area for a major manufacturer (National Coach Corp). He then successfully owned and operated a bus dealership in San Francisco (Metrotrans West) before joining Krystal Enterprises as Vice President of Bus Sales and National Accounts. He enjoys golf, skiing, and fishing.
