PE-backed Six Red Marbles expands leadership team with new hire

Six Red Marbles, which is backed by Calvert Street Partners, has named Tom Gernon as senior vice president of technology and operations and chief technology officer. Previously, Gernon worked at the Princeton Review where he served as chief information officer. Headquartered in Boston, Six Red Marbles is a producer of digital and blended learning programs and educational solutions.

Six Red Marbles today announced that Tom Gernon joins the company’s leadership team as Senior Vice President, Technology and Operations/CTO.

“Tom is an experienced technology executive who has spent his career building innovative, business-oriented technology strategies and solutions in diverse industries,” said Bob Fogel, CEO of Six Red Marbles. “His strong background and experience in the education industry will help drive Six Red Marbles’ technology strategy and team.”

For 20 years, Six Red Marbles has been a leader in developing blended learning materials, interactive curriculum and online courses for e-learning companies, educational publishers, schools and non-profit organizations, with the goal of engaging students through rich personalized experiences.

Gernon brings over 25 years of technology leadership experience to the team. Most recently, Gernon was Chief Information Officer at the Princeton Review. Prior to that, he was Chief Technology Officer at Fullbridge. Tom has held several additional senior leadership positions at companies such as Fidelity Investments and Staples, Inc.
