London, UK (PRWEB UK) 28 November 2014

Sonru, the video interview specialist, has today announced the appointment of a new Chief Operating Officer and Chief Marketing Officer, in addition to the formal opening of it’s new London office.

Jeff Jones has been appointed as Chief Operating Officer. He is joined by Paul O’Mahony, who takes the role of Chief Marketing Officer.

Mr Jones is a seasoned tech, media and telco executive whose 25-year career includes senior roles with The Walt Disney Company and Adventis where he advised many ventures including Apple, Orange & Earthlink. Mr O’Mahony has held senior roles for a portfolio of leading software companies in Silicon Valley, California for the last 17 years, including EMC, Cisco, and a number of startups including Atempo, Druva & Brand Affinity Technologies.

The company has also moved into larger offices in London to enable it to continue growing its UK-based team. This will complement its other offices in Singapore, Australia and South Africa with representation in Malaysia, New Zealand, USA and Dubai.

The move is a clear signal of intent for the award-winning asynchronous video interviewing provider and comes on the back of significant investment from international growth capital investor, Saphir Capital Partners.

Sonru, taken from the Irish word meaning to “stand out”, is currently experiencing unprecedented demand with a 248% rise in clients over the last 12 months – their most successful period to date.

The new appointments and office expansion will support the company’s ambitious international growth plans. On his appointment, Mr Jones said: “I am delighted to join the team at this exciting phase of their growth. Together we have the opportunity to really accelerate our growth plans and build on our existing teams in Ireland, the UK, Austral-Asia as well as expanding in to new markets across the rest of Europe, North America and Asia.

“Sonru is a great product that transforms a key pain point in the HR recruitment process to enable faster, better hiring decisions whilst saving significant costs,” he added. “The long-range applications of this technology mean that hiring globally is no longer the time-consuming process it once was, thanks to Sonru’s pioneering technology.”

Mr O‘Mahony said: “The recruitment technology and software industry is evolving at such a pace that few providers are able to fully respond to the ever-changing demands that busy HR professionals have.

“This is what I believe makes Sonru different to any other provider in this space and the reason why I am delighted to join a truly pioneering company. Sonru is perfectly poised to become the dominant player in the video interviewing and selection marketplace.”
With an impressive conversion rate from product trial to adoption, Sonru clients are evangelical about the benefits this game changing technology has brought to their recruitment processes. Major benefits include faster recruitment cycles, reduced interviewing costs, convenience and the elimination of scheduling and conducting phone interviews.
