PE-owned CROSSMARK appoints ex Walmart EVP for board of directors

CROSSMARK, a portfolio company of Warburg Pincus, has added Duncan Mac Naughton to its board of directors. Mac Naughton is a former executive vice president and chief merchandising officer of Walmart U.S. at Wal-Mart Stores. Headquartered in Plano, Texas, CROSSMARK is a provider of sales and marketing services for the consumer goods sector.

PLANO, Texas, May 26, 2015 /PRNewswire/ — CROSSMARK, a leading sales and marketing services company in the consumer goods industry, has named Duncan Mac Naughton to its board of directors.

Mr. Mac Naughton served as Executive Vice President and Chief Merchandising Officer of Walmart U.S. at Wal-Mart Stores Inc. until November 2014 where he oversaw all merchandise categories across more than 3,700 stores in the U.S. business. Under his leadership, the company intensified its shopper-centric focus through initiatives that improved on-shelf availability of products, as well as a more collaborative joint business planning process with suppliers.

Previously he served as Executive Vice President of Marketing & Merchandising at SUPERVALU Inc. as well as holding executive leadership positions at the New Albertsons Inc. and HEB Grocery Company. Prior to HEB, he spent 13 years with Kraft Foods, where he demonstrated leadership in key areas such as category sales management and planning, sales strategy, brand and product development, trade planning, and strategic food marketing and business planning.
