Platinum Equity has named David Boutry as a principal and head of its global business development team. Based in Los Angeles, Boutry will lead the firm’s sourcing and origination team.
Boutry is a 20-year investment banking and private equity veteran. Previously, he worked at Deutsche Bank Securities where he served as a managing director. And, prior to that, Boutry was a senior managing director at Bear Stearns. He has also been a vice president and partner at Westbrook Partners and worked at Merrill Lynch and Chase Manhattan Bank.
On Boutry joining his firm, Platinum Equity CEO and Chairman Tom Gores said in a statement, “Dave is an experienced and creative senior executive who will drive the continued expansion of our global business development platform. Platinum’s deal sourcing engine has always been a powerful differentiator for the firm. It’s a capability that we are perpetually evolving in order to extend our global reach.”
