BlackRock is looking to add an associate to its alternative solutions team. The hire will support the investment process, including research, portfolio construction and analysis, and client prospecting. Qualifications include two to five years of comparable experience (e.g. investment management, investment banking, management consulting); MBA or CFA preferred. The position is located in New York.

Blackstone has an opening for a 2017 associate – private equity. Associates will work on companies in a wide range of industries, analyzing potential investments, acquisitions, and exit opportunities. Candidates must be currently enrolled as MBA students, graduating between fall 2016 and and spring 2017. The position is located in New York.

Barings Alternative Investments, the private equity division of Barings LLC, is seeking a real asset-focused investment manager. The candidate will be responsible for the support of underwriting and day-to-day monitoring of a global platform of real asset funds and co-investments. Applicants should have one year of investment experience or multiple internships in finance-related businesses. The position is located in New York.

The University of California is in the market for a head of private equity, to manage a portfolio representing approximately $4 billion across the retirement and endowment fund assets. The ideal candidate will be a senior level private equity professional with twenty years or more of experience in the institutional investment world. Expertise in other alternative investments is highly desirable. The position is located in Oakland, California.

O’Melveny & Myers LLP has a position available for an attorney in class years 2008-10 to represent clients in domestic and international private equity and M&A transactions, which will involve acquisitions, divestitures, financings, strategic investments and corporate control contests. Candidates should have a strong transactional background, including experience in drafting and reviewing sophisticated corporate documentation. The position is located in New York.
