Private Equity Jobs of the Week: Blackstone, Goldman, Prudential are hiring

The Blackstone Group is seeking a valuations analyst/associate – private equity. The core focus of the Valuations & Performance Group is to evaluate, analyze and summarize valuation and performance results for Blackstone’s portfolios on a regular basis. The group is also responsible for forecasting financials, producing fund-level performance records and analytics, and preparing various LP and management reports and requests. Other duties may include supporting the broader finance and investor relations teams on an ad hoc basis in dealing with clients and investors and in fulfilling management requests. Candidates need a degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a quantitative discipline, or one to three years of experience in a financial role. The position is located in New York.

Goldman Sachs is searching for an associate to join its Merchant Banking Division (MDB)’s Funds and Operations Team. The hire will administer a series of private funds and other similar accounts managed by MDB, monitor and maintain compliance with credit facilities, prepare investor correspondence and related analyses, review financial statements and work with accountants to resolve questions, and track/report detailed performance metrics. Candidates need a minimum of three years’ related work experience. The position is located in New York.

The Prudential Insurance Company‘s Alternative Asset Group is looking to hire a senior associate, private equity funds and co-investments. The successful candidate will aid portfolio managers in all aspects of sourcing, underwriting and diligence for primary fund investments, co-investments and secondary investments. He/she will also perform ongoing monitoring, analysis and reporting of investments as well as the aggregate portfolio, and conduct market, industry and strategy research. Requirements include at least seven years of relevant work experience, including at least three years investing in private equity funds and co-investments. The position is located in Newark, New Jersey.

Arrowroot Capital is in the market for a private equity analyst. This is a two-year position with the potential opportunity to continue as an associate thereafter. The hire will identify, contact and build relationships with the founders of successful private software companies that are identified as targets based on financial metrics and market research. He/she will play a significant role in supporting associates in evaluating and executing transactions and portfolio management. Qualifications include a strong interest in enterprise software investing and up to two years of experience, ideally in investment banking or similar. The position is located in Santa Monica, California.

The University of California Office of the President is on the hunt for a managing director, private equity. The successful candidate will be a contributing senior member of the broader investment team, reviewing and evaluating investment deals, trends and strategies across all asset classes. In addition, he/she will be an important component of the asset allocation process, providing research and insight into macroeconomic issues, broad financial market opportunities and potential new investment initiatives. A strong performance track record as an investor with a global markets perspective is required. The position is located in Oakland, California.
