Private Equity Jobs of the Week: Priceline, KPMG, NovaQuest are hiring

Priceline is looking to hire a manager, corporate development – M&A/venture investing/strategy. The successful candidate will have experience building and working with financial operating models and a solid understanding of valuation methodologies. Responsibilities include coordinating and conducting due diligence, performing industry research and strategic analyses, and preparing presentations for senior management and the board of directors. At least four years of experience in investment banking, private equity or corporate M&A is required. The position is located in New York.

KPMG is seeking a manager, M&A, to join its strategy practice. The hire will lead client engagement, support business development activities, serve as a key adviser to corporate and private equity clients, deliver operational due diligence and performance improvement services, and work across B2B and B2C industries, including industrials, services, healthcare, consumer goods, retail, energy, technology and telecom, and financial services. At least five years in an external consulting role providing advisory services in M&A are required. The position is located in New York.

NovaQuest Capital Management is in the market for a senior associate, private equity. The hire will play an integral supporting role in underwriting and diligence activities. He/she will also maintain and monitor scientific and industry news sources and secondary databases to help identify potential pharmaceutical product opportunities for the team to pursue, and provide detailed company and pipeline overviews to assist the targeting process. Requirements include three to seven years of pharmaceutical or biotech industry experience, preferably with direct participation in the R&D, diligence, and/or licensing processes. Private equity experience preferred. The position is located in Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina.

Lorient Capital is searching for a private equity analyst/associate. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and screening potential investments, developing and maintaining financial and operational models (including LBOs and add-on acquisitions), conducting due diligence on potential investments and their associated industries, drafting investment memoranda, executing transactions (including structuring, documentation and financing), meeting with existing and prospective management teams, and monitoring portfolio companies and assisting them with add-on acquisitions, budget planning, and strategic/quantitative analysis. Candidates should have one to two years of experience in investment banking, private equity/venture capital or management consulting. Ties to Michigan are preferred. The position is located in Birmingham, Michigan.

Variner is on the lookout for pre-MBA candidates for a private equity associate role, to begin in summer 2018. Associates work on small deal teams, playing an active role in due diligence, financing, deal structuring, portfolio company management, and exit decisions. Responsibilities include reviewing and evaluating new acquisitions and divestitures, helping with purchase agreements, schedules, and related documents, and monitoring portfolio companies Qualifications include two to four years of relevant investment banking, private equity or corporate M&A experience. The position is located in Denver.
