Duties also include supporting due diligence and research efforts. Qualifications include an undergraduate degree with superior academic performance. The program is targeted at candidates with an expected graduation date of winter 2017/spring 2018, or those with one to three years of relevant work experience. Blackstone is seeking portfolio management program analysts. The program begins with a three- to six-month training period with hands-on experience working with the private equity valuations team. This is followed by two to three years of rotational assignments on location at various private equity and tactical opportunities portfolio companies. Assignments may include financial planning, operations analysis, treasury/cash management, commercial finance, IPO preparation, pricing initiatives, cost-cutting measures, acquisition integration, procurement/sourcing, and risk mitigation. Two to three years’ work experience are required. The position is located (initially) in New York.
UBS is in the market for an associate director in its private funds group, a full-service secondary market advisor executing a wide range of transactions for private equity investors and managers. The group offers financing solutions, industry and corporate research, and coverage of financial sponsors, family offices and sovereign wealth funds. The hire will manage and support the development of junior investment bankers and build strong relationships with internal and external clients. The ideal candidate will have solid financial analytical skills, with the ability to produce accurate presentation materials quickly. Experience in investment banking or similar required. The position is located in New York.
Aetna is looking to hire senior manager, corporate development/M&A. The position will provide an objective, consistent, disciplined approach to evaluating potential acquisitions, partnerships or business combinations. The hire will perform industry and competitor research analysis, identify strategic opportunities, support transaction teams and conduct financial and accounting analysis. Candidates need three to five years in investment banking, corporate development, private equity, corporate finance advisory or similar. MBA preferred. The position is located in Hartford, Connecticut.
