Private Equity Jobs of the Week: Blackstone, General Electric, Amazon Web Services are hiring

Blackstone Group is hiring an analyst, private equity. The successful candidate will conduct research on companies, industries and asset classes; perform all pertinent financial analyses, including LBOs, comparables and precedent transactions; prepare materials for the investment team; and build detailed operating models on prospective deals. Qualifications include at least one to two years of experience in investment banking or private equity. The position is located in London.

The Ohio Public Employees Retirement System is seeking a portfolio manager lead, private equity. The position is responsible for leading the private equity program and managing the PE team. The program is currently limited to partnership commitments and discretionary mandates but may in the future include direct co-investments and separate accounts. The hire will recommend enhancements in the investment policy; evaluate and implement portfolio structures, strategies and tactical allocations including considerations of risk and return; lead and coordinate all due diligence for PE investments; and maintain knowledge of markets through industry contacts and trade publications. Qualifications include five years in private equity, including direct or indirect experience managing a staff of investment professionals. The position is located in Columbus, OH.

Siemens is looking for a director, energy funds (private equity). The hire will direct a “startup” that aims to create a new market/business model with energy private equity investors (focused on conventional power) around services ranging from pre-acquisition to post-acqusition. Responsibilities include building client relations, promoting products and services, conducting market research, and coordinating marketing and networking events. Candidates need at least six to eight years of experience selling products and services in the financial industry. MBA preferred. The position is located in New York or Tarrytown, NY.

General Electric is searching for a senior associate, growth equity. The hire will join the GE Ventures New Business Creation growth equity team, working to develop business models and performing general business development and market research. Duties include evaluating and conducting diligence on investment and partnership opportunities, participating in all aspects of company structuring, supporting portfolio company operations, and assisting in the creation and execution of tactical plans for new business creation. At least five years of work experience in venture capital or strategy consulting are required. The position is located in Menlo Park, CA or Boston, MA.

Amazon Web Services has an opening for a venture capital business development manager, fintech. Responsibilities include identifying appropriate VCs and fintech entrepreneurs to target, driving the necessary business, strategic and technical relationships with VCs and their portfolio companies to establish new business in those accounts, and working closely with the AWS sales, marketing and financial services business development teams to drive messaging and engagement with the portfolio companies. Candidates should have deep experience and knowledge of the fintech startup and VC ecosystem, with a minimum of ten years in business development, technical sales or program/product management. The position is located in New York.
