Private Equity Jobs of the Week: Edgemont Capital Partners, KPMG, KeyBanc are hiring

Edgemont Capital Partners is seeking an investment banking associate and/or analyst with M&A experience. Healthcare industry knowledge is preferred, but not required. The ideal candidate will have outstanding analytical ability, financial modeling experience and exceptional Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills. The position is located in the greater New York City area.

Emergence Capital is looking for a senior associate to help build the next generation of enterprise cloud companies. The position plays a critical role in supporting the firm’s due diligence efforts, monitoring and assisting portfolio companies, researching investment themes, and helping source new deals. All non-founding partners started their careers at the firm in this role. Qualifications include a highly analytical nature, outstanding communication skills, a preference for collaboration, innovative thinking and an entrepreneurial bent. The position is located in San Francisco.

KPMG is searching for a manager, M&A, to join its strategy practice. Responsibilities include leading enterprise-wide engagements in operational due diligence, strategy assessments, standalone cost assessments, corporate performance improvement and growth strategy projects. The hire will provide oversight of teams throughout the project lifecycle as they create insights that tie to the client’s strategic and financial ambitions. Candidates should have at least five years of external consulting experience, with a focus on M&A operational due diligence, commercial due diligence or performance improvement. The position is located in New York.

Alvarez & Marsal is in the market for a director, operations group – energy. The firm is seeking to expand its Private Equity Performance Improvement – Energy practice, which helps improve operating results in businesses and/or portfolio companies, throughout the U.S. The ideal candidate will have at least five years’ experience leading teams through time-sensitive projects by structuring performance improvement plans and managing the process through to completion, as well as hands-on knowledge of the energy industry. The position is located in Houston, Texas.

KeyBanc has an opening for a 2018 capital markets intern. Duties may include working with investment bankers and product partners on M&A/strategic alternative idea generation and pitches, corporate finance opportunities, and public and private capital raising transactions (equity and debt); performing financial modeling and valuation analysis on public and private companies; generating ideas and analytical materials in support of new client meetings; and developing marketing materials for topics such as company positioning, financing alternatives, and M&A strategic alternatives. The position is located in Cleveland, Ohio.
