Private Equity Jobs of the Week: Invesco, CalSTRS and Ironwood are hiring

Invesco is looking to hire a vice president for its core investment team. The successful applicant will support the principals in the investment process. Duties include evaluating primary and secondary interests in venture capital and buyout funds as well as direct co-investment opportunities. Applicants should have a minimum of seven years of investment banking or investment management experience; private equity or venture capital experience is a plus although experience in technology/startup companies may be considered. A CFA/MBA is preferred but not required. The position is in San Francisco.

California State Teachers’ Retirement System’s investment branch is seeking an investment officer to work in the investment compliance, ethics and reporting unit. Responsibilities include providing investment, financial and operational expertise to staff and management; recommending and implementing investment policies and strategies to maintain compliance and an effective internal control environment; and overseeing investment branch compliance and ethics programs related to investment policies. This position is eligible for incentive compensation and has a maximum incentive opportunity of 15 percent of base salary. The position is in Yolo County, California.

Landmark Capital Advisors is seeking a private equity vice president in real estate. Duties include raising a minimum of $100 million in GP/LP funds for the first year; structuring real estate deals with investment partners, JV’s and REITS; and bringing in a “book of business” to the firm with an existing list of potential investors. Candidates should have 10 years of experience in private equity/capital markets /business development within the real estate sector and direct experience in raising funds for a family office including investments from high-net worth individuals. The annual salary is $150,000. The position is in New York.

GQR Global Markets is looking for a private equity associate for its infrastructure sector. The hire will work with the investment team. Applicants should have M&A experience, strong financial modelling skills and one to three years of experience in investment banking. The position is in New York.

Ironwood Capital is seeking an analyst to provide analytical and administrative support to the firm’s investment and portfolio management teams. The successful hire will work hands-on with experienced investment professionals in evaluating a variety of businesses, industries and private equity investments.  Modeling experience is preferred. The position is in Avon, Connecticut.
