Candidates should have excellent academic credentials; an MBA is preferred. Also, he or she should have four plus years of experience in a related field (private equity and/or investment banking). Buyside experience is strongly preferred. The position is in New York City.
BlackRock is seeking an investment associate for its Long Term Private Capital unit. The hire will support senior investment colleagues in all aspects of an investment, including due diligence, financial review and modeling, valuation, preparation of presentation material for investment committees, transaction execution, value creation and monitoring. Also, he or she will develop and run financial models to analyze investment opportunities. Candidates should have a strong academic background and three to five years of professional experience, ideally in investment banking or private equity. The position is in New York City.
Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors is on the hunt for an operations associate. The hire will help support the vice president of business development and operations with fund and portfolio management back-office functions. Candidates should have an undergraduate degree in finance, accounting or a related field with a history of superior academic achievement. Also, applicants should have at least two to four years of prior work experience in fields related to the position, ideally at an investment management firm or accounting firm. Experience in alternative investment operations/accounting is a plus. This position will begin remotely until Kayne Anderson returns to office, at which point the position will be located in Los Angeles. LA area candidates are highly preferred.
NextGen Venture Partners is searching for an analyst. The hire will perform market research and due diligence for potential investments; and support the development of new investment theses and thematic research. Candidates should have two to three years of full-time work experience in finance, consulting, startups, technology or another relevant role. An undergraduate technical degree is preferred. The position will ideally be based in the San Francisco Bay Area, but the venture firm is also open to Los Angeles, New York, Washington DC, or Boston.
