Candidates should have 10 plus years of experience in business development, consulting or program/product management. Duties include leading a technical team performing due diligence and primary market research for potential investments; evaluating investment opportunities and interviewing CEO of target companies; reviewing investment documents and making investments; and working with portfolio companies on selected projects. Applicants should have a minimum of two plus years of relevant managerial experience working with venture capital, startup/tech companies or have worked in investing roles. A bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, life science or business is required while an advanced degree is a plus. The position is in San Jose, California.
OMERS Infrastructure is currently seeking an associate to join its investment team. Responsibilities include researching and analyzing financial statements, industry information, technical and financial data and presenting conclusions to team members; developing financial models depicting a company’s historical and projected financial results consistent with the industry research undertaken by the team evaluating the investments; and writing investment memos and presentations summarizing key findings from research, financial analysis and meetings with industry, co-investors and external advisors. Applicants must have two to three years of work experience. He or she must have proven experience in investment banking, private equity or corporate M&A, preferably within infrastructure or infrastructure-related sectors. The position is in New York.
