Silicon Valley Bank is searching for a vice president of private equity services. The hire will be responsible for managing and maintaining, with the opportunity to lead, for a broad range of banking and lending relationships with venture capital and private equity firm clients. He or she drives credit underwriting, risk assessment and portfolio monitoring in collaboration with credit partners; and performs due diligence analysis, underwrites and negotiates loan transactions independently. Candidates should have five to eight years of commercial lending or related experience. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; a master’s degree is preferred. The position is in Menlo Park, California.

 

CIM Group is seeking an investment associate. The hire will be tasked with managing a workload that includes both individual responsibilities and collaborative assignments focused on the following areas: portfolio oversight, acquisition and disposition analysis, co-investments, investor negotiation, fundraising and on-site and off-site due diligence meetings. Candidates should have one to three years’ prior experience in real estate, investment banking or related field; an MBA is preferred. The position is in Los Angeles.

 

The Teacher Retirement System of Texas is on the hunt for a private equity senior associate or investment manager. Duties include performing due diligence analysis of potential private equity investment opportunities and assisting with day-to-day monitoring and reporting of the investment portfolio. He or she will report to the managing director of private equity. This position will be filled at one of two levels depending upon the qualifications of the individual selected and the discretion of the hiring manager. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in business administration, finance, accounting, operations research, math, information technology, liberal arts or a related area. A master’s degree in a related area may substitute for one year of required experience. The position is in Austin.

 

Greenspring Associates is looking to hire an analyst for its investment team. Duties include sourcing and evaluating potential venture, expansion stage start-up and secondary investment opportunities; submitting investment recommendations to the investment committee; and providing analysis to the investment team on progress and projections of private investments. Candidates should have one to two years working in venture capital, private equity or finance; and a bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, physics, mathematics, computer science, engineering or a related subject. The position is in Owing Mills, Maryland.
