Previously, Posner worked at Allstate Investments where he led the firm’s global infrastructure and real asset private equity group. There he managed an investment portfolio of more than $1 billion. Prior to forming the real assets and infrastructure group, he was a senior member of the private equity team at the insurance giant.
Launched in 1982 by Robert Swanson, Ridgewood Private Equity Partners, which is part of the Ridgewood Companies, has raked in more than $4.5 billion in total capital and commitments. This past January, RPEP’s sister company Ridgewood Energy, which focuses on oil fields in the Gulf of Mexico, raised $1.1 billion for its most recent private equity fund.
