Sandow Media Buys Furniture Today from Reed Business Information

Sandow Media, a portfolio company of Veronis Suhler Stevenson, has acquired a portfolio of Reed Business Information publications that serve the residential/commercial design, home furnishings and accessories industries. No financial terms were disclosed for the deal, which includes Interior Design magazine and the Furniture Today group of publications.

Veronis Suhler Stevenson (“VSS”), a global private equity firm that makes buyout and mezzanine investments in the information, education and media industries in North America and Europe, announced Friday that its portfolio company Sandow Media, a leader in developing multi-channel vertically integrated luxury brands, completed the acquisition of several key print and online Reed Business Information publications and properties serving the residential/commercial design, home furnishings and accessories industries.

Reed brands acquired by Sandow Media include Interior Design magazine and its entire Furniture Today group of publications, such as Furniture Today, Gifts & Decorative Accessories, Home Textiles Today, Casual Living, Home Accents Today, Kids Today and Playthings.

Sandow Media’s latest add-on acquisition will lead to the hire of more than 100 employees and substantially expand its current New York City operations. In addition, Reed Business Information’s Greensboro, North Carolina, facility will become part of Sandow Media.
