Jefferies has hired Peter Scheman as a managing director and joint head of Americas industrial investment banking. Previously, Scheman worked at Goldman Sachs where he was U.S. head of building products and equipment & construction coverage.
Peter Scheman Joins Jefferies in Continued Expansion of Industrials Coverage
Peter Scheman recently joined Jefferies as a Managing Director and Joint Head of Americas Industrials Investment Banking. In this new role, he will partner with Tom Fennimore, Joint Head of Americas Industrials Investment Banking.
Peter brings 30 years of investment banking experience to Jefferies and joins the firm from Goldman Sachs, where he spent 13 years and was U.S. Head of Building Products and Equipment & Construction (E&C) coverage. He previously spent 17 years at Tanner & Co.
At Jefferies, Peter will continue to cover the Building Products and E&C sectors, working closely with existing coverage bankers Ian Woods and Dan Gitlin, both Managing Directors within Jefferies’ Industrials Investment Banking Group.
Jefferies has greatly expanded its Global Industrials Investment Banking in the last three years and the firm now has a total of 117 investment bankers across New York, Boston, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, Toronto, Washington D.C. and London, focused on Aerospace & Defense, Automotives, Automotive Aftermarket, Business & Industrial Services, Capital Goods, Chemicals, Construction & Building Materials, Distribution, Infrastructure, Maritime, Metals & Mining, Paper & Packaging, Power & Renewables, Security & Protection Services and Transportation & Logistics.
During the last three years, the team has executed 315advisory or bookrun transactions worth over $175 billion.
