SCM Strategic Capital Management AG today announced an expansion of its Management Committee. Sascha Zeitz has been appointed as its new Chief Operating Officer. In addition, Samuel Ryhner, Head of Legal & Compliance, has become a Partner at SCM. Jean-Claude Croset, who has been CFO/COO of SCM since 2001, will move to a new role as Head of Client Portfolio Services/CFO.
Stefan Hepp, Chief Executive Officer of SCM, commented on the appointments: “To be prepared for our next step in business development and growth we have decided to broaden our management team. We welcome Sascha Zeitz to SCM. He has had a distinguished career at Deutsche Bank, where he held various positions including the COO role at DWS Switzerland, and most recently at Falcon Private Bank where he was CEO of the fund management company. His success in adding value and creating operational improvements as well as his experience in product management and the ability to drive a client focused business model fits perfectly with the SCM private market model. The expansion of the management team will also allow Jean-Claude Croset to assume, in addition to his continued CFO role, the leadership of our Client Portfolio Services Division. We see major opportunities for the expansion of our tailored portfolio management services that meet the growing need for more transparency and cost effectiveness in private market investing that comes as a result of the financial markets crisis. The promotion of Samuel Ryhner to Partner is an expression of our
commitment to grow the partnership from within the firm and a reflection of the importance and status attached to the Compliance function within our organization.”
Sascha Zeitz joins SCM from Falcon Fund Management (formerly AIG Fund Management). He calls on fourteen years of experience in the financial services industry. Having started his professional career at Deutsche Bank Frankfurt, he worked for DWS Investments Switzerland as Chief Operating Officer between 2001 and 2006. Subsequently, he joined Falcon Fund Management Switzerland, becoming Chief Executive Officer. He holds a master degree in business administration from the University of Mannheim, Germany.
