Signet Enterprises has acquired Publishers Storage & Shipping, which provides book storage and order fulfillment for small to medium-sized publishers. No financial terms were disclosed.

Akron’s Signet Enterprises has added Publishers Storage & Shipping, LLC to its portfolio of manufacturing and service companies the company announced today.
Publishers Storage & Shipping (PSSC), founded in 1974, specializes in book storage and order fulfillment for small and mid-size publishers. The company maintains three warehouses—a 104,000 square foot facility in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, a 75,000 square foot facility in Ypsilanti, Michigan, and a 30,000 square foot facility in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
With the addition of PSSC, Signet Enterprises now has more than 20 manufacturing and service companies in its ventures’ portfolio. PSSC joins Finish Line Binderies as the third company owned by Signet serving the printing and publishing industries.
John Helline, also president of Finish Line Binderies, is CEO of PSSC and Mike Seagram, who has c-level experience in the graphic arts industry, was brought in as President of the company. Mike was formerly President and COO of Sheridan Books based in Chelsea, Michigan. “We are very excited that Mike can join us as President of PSSC, we have great confidence in his abilities and feel his vast experience in the publishing industry will truly enhance PSSC’s value proposition,” said Helline. Seagram added, “PSSC has earned a solid reputation within the publishing community over several years. Its core capabilities provide a strong foundation for expanding our publishing service offerings to more closely align PSSC with the evolving needs of its customers.”
Like all of Signet’s companies, PSSC represents a long term investment for the holding company.

No employee attrition is planned at either site, Manna said.
