Societe Generale Private Banking announces the appointment of Vincent Combes as Global Market Manager for Africa, replacing Jean-Paul Rame. His appointment has been effective since 1st September 2013.
Based in London, Vincent Combes oversees all the private bank’s activities for African clients and is responsible for defining the global marketing approach and associated action plans for this client segment. He retains his existing role as Global Market Manager for « Commodities Private Wealth » clients (owners or directors of commodity-producing companies and traders).
Combining the management of « Commodities Private Wealth » and African clients under the responsibility of one person strengthens synergies between Societe Generale Private Banking and Societe Generale’s retail banking activities in Africa, where the origin of wealth is frequently linked to the commodities sector.
Vincent Combes began his career in 1992 at the Inspection Generale of Indosuez Bank before joining Pricewaterhouse Coopers and then SG Consulting, Societe Generale Group’s internal consulting department. In 2000 he joined Societe Generale Private Banking France as a Private Banker, becoming Director for Development in 2005, Deputy Commercial Director in 2007 and Commercial Director in 2009. He was appointed Global Market Manager for Commodities Private Wealth (CPW) in 2012.
Vincent Combes is a graduate of the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris (Sciences Po) and the Paris Dauphine University.
