Washington, DC-based solar finance firm Sol Systems has named Jerry Stalun as a senior director of investments. Stalun is a former managing director for EIG Global Energy Partners. He also served as senior vice president of GE Energy Financial Services.
WASHINGTON, Dec. 3, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — Jerry Stalun has joined Sol Systems, a Washington, D.C. – based solar energy finance and investment firm, as its Senior Director of Investments. In this role, Mr. Stalun will lead Sol Systems’ Investment and Structured Finance Teams in capital development for the firm’s solar energy investment and finance initiatives.

Mr. Stalun has over 25 years of experience working in energy asset management, investment and commercial banking. He led investment activities in the global power sector as Managing Director for EIG Global Energy Partners and as Head of Asset Based Investments – Americas for Arcapita, Inc., a private equity firm in the energy and infrastructure space.
Mr. Stalun also served as Senior Vice President of GE Energy Financial Services, responsible for equity and debt investments in the power and energy sectors, Managing Director of Duke Capital Partners, focusing on equity and mezzanine capital in the power, energy and real estate areas, and Managing Director and Co-Head of Power Project Finance for Bank of America Securities, as well as energy-related investment and finance positions at JP Morgan Chase & Co and Prudential Capital Group.
Mr. Stalun received a BS in Accounting from the University of Illinois and an MBA from the University of Chicago. He also previously practiced as a Certified Public Accountant in Illinois.
