


Samantha Horn, a partner with Canadian law firm Stikeman Elliott LLP, has received the Women’s Executive Network‘s 2014 Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Award. Horn is co-head of Stikeman’s M&A and private equity practice group in Toronto. She is also a former co-chair and an active supporter of the Canadian Women in Private Equity committee of the Canadian Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (CVCA).

Toronto partner Samantha Horn receives WXN 2014 Award
Congratulations to Samantha Horn who has received the Women’s Executive Network’s 2014 Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Award.
Samantha is a recipient of the WXN award in the “KPMG Professionals” category, which recognizes women who play a leadership role within their organization. As co-head of the Toronto office’s M&A and Private Equity Practice Group, Samantha is an integral member of Stikeman Elliott’s leadership team. She is a member of both Stikeman Elliott’s Associates Committee and the Women’s Initiatives Committee; the latter is dedicated to recognizing, developing and promoting talented female lawyers practising in the firm with the potential to lead, as Samantha has done. She is a sought-after mentor whose tenacity and intelligence are an inspiration to the next generation of trailblazers.
In addition to her reputable corporate and commercial practice, she actively promotes women’s involvement in the legal industry inside and outside the firm; she is a member of the Women in Capital Markets and Women’s Association of Venture and Equity organization, and a founding member of the Executive of the Canadian Women in Private Equity committee of the Canadian Venture Capital Association. Samantha is active in numerous community organizations, including acting as director on the board of the KINSA Foundation, an organization that protects children against online sexual abuse.
Winners will be featured in the December edition of Financial Post Magazine and honoured at a sold-out Leadership Summit and Awards Gala in Toronto on November 27, 2014. Congratulations to Samantha, and to all women recognized, on this accomplishment.
