Strategic Value Partners hires Wellspring executive Han

Strategic Value Partners has hired Wellspring Capital Management principal Daniel Han as managing director on the U.S. investment team. Han worked at Wellspring for 12 years. Prior to Wellspring, Han was an investment banking analyst at J.P. Morgan.

Strategic Value Partners, LLC has named Daniel Han as a Managing Director on its U.S. investment team, based in Greenwich, CT.
Dan comes to Strategic Value Partners with significant industry experience, particularly in middle market private equity investing. For the past 12 years, he was at Wellspring Capital Management, most recently as Principal. At Wellspring, Dan was one of four deal team leaders and led all aspects of transactional execution and portfolio company management for investments. He was a member of the firm’s Investment Committee and its Board of Directors on investments. Prior to Wellspring, Dan was an Investment Banking analyst at JP Morgan. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Virginia, McIntire.

Strategic Value Partners, LLC was founded in 2001 by Victor Khosla and manages approximately $3.8 billion. SVP’s focus is on distressed, deep-value opportunities in middle-market companies where it can typically exert significant influence or, in some circumstances, obtain outright control.
