Summit Park adds three to team

Lower middle market private equity firm Summit Park has expanded its staff with three additions. Houston Stokes and Kyle Taura are joining the company as associates while Ian Morris has been hired as a business development associate.


Summit Park, a Charlotte-based private equity firm focused exclusively on the lower middle market, is pleased to announce the addition of Houston Stokes, Kyle Taura, and Ian Morris to our team. Mr. Stokes and Mr. Taura join Summit Park as Associates, while Mr. Morris joins as a Business Development Associate in support of our transaction sourcing efforts.

We are actively seeking platform investments in businesses with $20-$100 million of revenue, located in the South and Southeastern regions of the U.S. in the business services, outsourced services, manufacturing, and distribution industries. Within these sectors, we have a specific interest in companies in the Food and Beverage, Food Safety, and Test and Measurement sectors. In addition, we are seeking add-on opportunities for our current portfolio: Tennessee Industrial Electronics, NSi, Parkline, and Control Company.

Houston Stokes joins Summit Park from BB&T Capital Markets where he was an Analyst in the Investment Banking Group. Mr. Stokes graduated with a B.S. in Finance from the Schools of Business at Wake Forest University.

Kyle Taura was previously an Associate at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in the Sports Finance & Advisory Group. Mr. Taura graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. in Finance and an M.S. in Accountancy from the Schools of Business at Wake Forest University.

Ian Morris’ prior work experience was in business development roles at New Century Capital Partners and 7 Mile Advisors. In addition, Mr. Morris was a Research Analyst at Coe Capital Management. Mr. Morris graduated with a B.S. in Finance from the Driehaus College of Business at DePaul University.
