Susquehanna Growth Equity has led an $18 million first round commitment to Plimus, Inc, peHub has learned. The firm will announce the deal tomorrow.
The business has grown to its current size since its start in 2001 with no outside investment until now. Susquehanna, an affiliate of Susquehanna International Group of companies (SIG), is the firm’s sole investor.
Plimus helps companies run e-commerce systems through their customer relationship services, customer acquisition services, and payment processing service. In January 2007 it acquired Order1.Net, another e-commerce services for software authors. The company has a partnership with Uniloc, a software protection business.
Recent investments from Susquehanna Growth Equity include HMP Communications and ESP Holdings. The firm’s focus is in financial technology, software technology, business services and specialty finance.
