PRESS RELEASE

Taylor Capital Group, LLC, general partner and investment manager of the Mountain West Debt Fund, LP, named Rob Simmons to its board of advisors today.

Simmons is a partner at Bendigo Partners, a New York based private equity firm that brings capital and operational expertise to its portfolio of financial service technology companies.

Prior to joining Bendigo, Simmons helped E*Trade Financial double its annual revenue as the company’s chief financial officer. Simmons’ substantial expertise in guiding extraordinary financial and operational growth includes management positions at Oracle, Iomega and Campus Pipeline, Inc. He is a former chairman and board member of the Association for Financial Professionals.

“We are incredibly happy to have access to Rob’s unmatched expertise in financial services and growth-oriented operations,” stated Mark Taylor, principal and managing director, Taylor Capital Group. “We have benefited greatly from his informal guidance throughout the past year, and we are thrilled to have a more formal structure for absorbing his insight.”

Mountain West Debt Fund consists of pooled capital from private investors. The fund prioritizes capital preservation and carefully selects its clientele. Its structure provides much of the transparency required of public real estate funds, including quarterly reports, third party audits, a third party advisory board, and monthly distributions of income to investors.

As an advisor, Simmons will meet with management on a quarterly basis to review the fund’s finances, asset allocations, and strategic direction. He joins Michael Sansom, principal, Sussex Group, and Harold Turley, owner and executive vice president, Tetra, on the fund’s board.

“The Mountain West Debt Fund has built incredible traction in its first year of operations, establishing a solid clientele, diversified assets, and steady performance,” noted Rob Simmons. “It is impressive for a private fund of this size to proactively establish an external guidance and review structure and to recognize its need to proactively scale for growth.”
