Tonka Bay taps Cappello as director

• Prior to joining Tonka Bay, Cappello was a senior director of corporate development at Albertsons Companies Inc
• Previously, Cappello was a vice president at Cerberus Capital Management
• Tonka Bay acquires and invests in growth-oriented businesses in the manufacturing, business services and value-added distribution sectors

Tonka Bay Equity Partners LLC has named Shawn Cappello as a director. In this role, Cappello will assist in the execution of the firm’s overall investment activities.

Prior to joining Tonka Bay, Cappello was a senior director of corporate development at Albertsons Companies Inc., a national grocery retailer. Previously, Cappello was a vice president at Cerberus Capital Management, an operationally-focused private equity firm.  Before Cerberus, Cappello worked at Credit Suisse’s investment banking division, advising global industrial and business services companies.

Cappello is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame with an undergraduate degree in finance.
