TorQuest’s SCM acquires Atlantic Canada’s Plant Hope Adjusters

ClaimsPro, an affiliate of SCM Insurance Services, has bought Plant Hope Adjusters Ltd, an adjusting service based in Moncton, New Brunswick. The value of the acquisition was not disclosed. ClaimsPro said the addition of Plant Hope will position it as Atlantic Canada’s leading provider of independent adjusting services. Based in Edmonton, SCM is a claims management and outsourced services provider to the insurance industry. It has been backed by Canadian mid-market private equity firm TorQuest Partners since 2010.


ClaimsPro Strengthens its Atlantic Canada Coverage with the Acquisition of Plant Hope Adjusters


TORONTO – ClaimsPro today announced that it has acquired the leading Atlantic Canada adjusting service, Plant Hope Adjusters Ltd.

Plant Hope is the largest employee-owned regional independent adjusting service in Atlantic Canada. With 11 offices and 42 adjusters operating in the Maritime Provinces, Plant Hope provides services in complete loss investigation, marine surveying, and claims management to insurers. Led by Fred Plant, President, an Associate of the Insurance Institute of Canada and previously the President of the Canadian Independent Adjusters’ Association (CIAA), Plant Hope Adjusters exemplifies the type of strategic acquisition ClaimsPro strives to make in providing the best possible service and geographical coverage to its clients. The addition of Plant Hope will position ClaimsPro as Atlantic Canada’s leading provider of independent adjusting services.
