Strong Precision Technologies, a precision machining company formed by Tricor Pacific Capital, has completed the acquisitions of Inland Midwest Corporation and Comet Tool Inc. Terms of the deals were not released. Comet Tool is based in Elk Grove Village, Illinois. Inland Midwest is based in Chicago.

Strong Precision has completed its first two investments with the acquisitions of Inland Midwest Corporation and Comet Tool, Inc.
Strong Precision is actively seeking acquisitions of precision machining companies that serve the Medical, Industrial and Aerospace & Defense end markets.
Comet Tool, Inc., located in Elk Grove Village, Illinois, is a Tier One precision machining company that supplies machined parts and tools to the agricultural, construction and mining end markets. Comet supplies over 470 SKUs, including bearings, plates and retainers used to manufacture motor graders, diesel engines, crankshafts, wheel loaders and tractors. Comet was acquired in June 2011.
Inland Midwest Corporation, located in Chicago, Illinois, is a manufacturer of high precision spinal and orthopedic surgical instruments and implants with operations conducted under stringent quality and certification requirements.
Inland was acquired in October 2011.
