MANHATTAN BEACH, CA (November 15, 2011)—Trippy, the first web and mobile app entirely designed to let your friends help plan your trip, today announced that it has raised $1.75M in seed funding after debuting as a Battlefield Finalist at TechCrunch Disrupt in September.
Co-leading the round are Sequoia Capital and True Ventures. Also participating in the round is

The company was founded by J.R. Johnson, a pioneer in the online travel space, having had his first travel site, VirtualTourist, acquired by Expedia in 2008.
