Unitrends Raises $9 Million

Unitrends, a Columbia, S.C.-based provider of enterprise data protection software and appliances, has raised $9 million in Series C funding. Paladin Capital Group led the round, and was joined by return backers Aurora Funds, Harbert Venture Partners, and the Trelys Funds.

Paladin Capital Group led the round, which also included participation from other Unitrends venture investors, including the Aurora Funds, Harbert Venture Partners, and the Trelys Funds.

 

Unitrends will use this investment to fuel additional research and development, bolster its partner marketing programs and strengthen its sales and support organizations. Strong market demand is being driven by the increasing need for integrated, easy to manage data protection, disaster recovery and vaulting solutions.
